I am a divorced male looking for a Native American or Native American mix that can relate to my Native American views of seeing the world in a more natural way. I am a Christian man who knows how to love someone else, because I am a Christian. I have Cherokee, Occaneechi-Saponi, Patawomeck, Powhatan, Nansemond, Cheroenhaka (Nottoway), & Weyanoke Native American blood. My Native American name is: GRAY WOLF IN CHEROKEE USGOLA WAYA ("Ooo-S-go-la-Wah-Yah"). Gray Wolf a proud member of the Appalachian American Indians of West Virginia Tribe! It is recognized as an official Indian Tribe by the House & Senate Resolutions passed through the State Legislature of West Virginia. The Governor of West Virginia set aside the Month of September to be recognized as Appalachian American Indians of West Virginia Month! In researching my Native American genealogy I found there were seventeen of my blood related ancestors who applied for and sent in their Native American 1896 Dawes Applications for Enrollment into the Five Civilized Tribes. They all applied for membership into the Cherokee Tribe under their direct bloodline ancestor Elizabeth Blackhawk Miller (Naktika Redfern), the daughter of Chief Black Hawk born c1711. The 1896 Dawes Applications were Overturned or Denied Membership due to them not living in Indian Territory (Oklahoma) or living in the mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee at the time of their application. I have recently found the gravestone marker for Elizabeth Blackhawk Miller (Naktika Redfern) & her oldest son who both died of smallpox.
